The authorised workers list that are allowed to leave the LGAs is available HERE

As part of the business's COVID Safe Plan you can consider implementing safety measures such as mandatory COVID testing or temperature testing prior to entry - more details can be found on the NSW Health website

In line with the National Code of Conduct for Freight, asymptomatic testing for freight workers on a rolling 7 day basis is highly recommended.

If your employees live or stay in the Fairfield Local Government Area, mandatory surveillance testing every 3 days is a legal requirement under the Public Health (COVID-19 Temporary Movement and Gathering Restrictions) Order 2021.

Courtesy of the Container Transport Alliance Australia (CTAA) - available HERE, the provided template document may assist if for any reason any worker is asked by an authorised officer, such as NSW Police, for the reason why they are not abiding by the stay-at-home order and/or are outside of the affected LGA in which they live.

MARKETS EMERGING FROM THE PANDEMIC
Our appreciation is extended to Paul Bettany, Collinson FX  for his article in the most recent edition of Across Borders.

DID YOU SEE THESE NOTICES
Over the past week Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received a number of updates on various biosecurity programs that will require the attention of importers, customs brokers, freight forwarders and their overseas agents and treatment providers.
  • Documentary requirements for fumigation certificates for imported goods
The Minimum documentary and import declarations requirements policy sets the requirements for documents submitted to the department for assessment of the biosecurity risk of goods imported into Australia.
This includes requirements for certification related to treatments conducted in exporting countries to mitigate potential biosecurity risks prior to shipment.
As a result of the recently updated Minimum documentary and import declaration requirements policy version 4.0, documentary requirements for fumigation certificates are changing.
  • Australian Biosecurity webinar series
Topic: Our shared approach to delivering Australia's future biosecurity system

New requirements for high-risk plant products
As advised in IAN 95-2021, new requirements for high-risk plant products imported via air freight and sea freight are expected to commence in September 2021. Additional information on these requirements has been published on our webpage.
