XIN QING DAO 185S PORT ROTATION CHANGE_ (002).pdf
SERVICE BETWEEN ASIA AND AUSTRALIA - PORT ROTATION CHANGE FOR XIN QING D.._.pdf

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received a customer notice from Hutchison Port Botany that the XIN QING DAO 185S import availability has been withdrawn until further notice due to "vessel issues".

When seeking clarification as to what this actually means, FTA has been advised that we need to communicate directly with the relevant shipping lines as to the nature of the congestion and that Hutchison Port Botany has "no further comments to make at this point".

Shipping line customers of Hutchison have provided no more clues as to the true cause of the disruption:

Cosco Shipping
Hamburg Sud

All less than ideal – understandably, it appears as though shipping lines are moving the XIN QING DAO 185S to Melbourne to try and minimise disruption/delays in Sydney.  Assuming the vessel returns to Sydney in line with the revised schedule it will coincide with the Easter long week-end further complicating business operations.

Meanwhile, another customer notice was released this afternoon from Hutchison Port Botany :

"Please be advised that due to absentees, the yard manual area will be CLOSED 15/04/19 3PM TO 11PM. Any transport company delivering export non-containerised cargo, import containers located in the manual area, or container rotation will not be serviced."

FTA will continue its engagement with all port related stakeholders and will provide further updates at www.FTAlliance.com.au
