2017-12-15 Media Release_VICT_ MUA ILLEGAL PICKET REMOVAL-15 DEC 2017.pdf

Further to our "Breaking News", Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received the following advice from the Victoria International Container Terminal.

Further updates will be posted at www.FTAlliance.com.au

Travis Brooks-Garrett - FTA / APSA

We are delighted to say the illegal picket is being removed today!

Our team is entering the premises now to prepare for operations.

We will open the gate tomorrow morning 08:00.

Our priority, as it always has been, is to continue with business as usual. We will work endlessly to ensure all containers are moved.

I have attached today's press release for your perusal.

In order to facilitate the earliest evacuation of containers from site, we will be operating the gate over the whole weekend. Gates will open from 08:00

We are also planning to add a Monday Night shift from 18:00 – 06:00 to assist with deliveries. Confirmation of that to follow tomorrow.
Saturday 08:00 – 18:00
Sunday 06:00 – 18:00
Monday 06:00 – 18:00

We are conscious that all import containers are a priority for our customers and as such we have also increased the slot availability per block to assist with demand.

Storage free time for imports off the Glasgow Express will commence from Monday 18th with the last free day being Wednesday 20th

Thank you once again for your patience and support
