Weekly Market Commentary
US markets finished the week strongly, boosted by an extraordinary US GDP number, beating all expectations. The annualised number came in at 3.2%, against an expected 2.3%, blowing predictions out of the water. The strength of economic growth defies all of the trade warnings, internationally and recognises the strong economy the US is experiencing. The US Dollar remained firm, supported by the economy, despite a dovish monetary policy. The EUR traded 1.1150, while the Yen held 111.50.
