Delays in import release - Hutchison Port Botany

Friday, January 19, 2018

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have approached Hutchison Ports Australia (HPA) for further detail on the cause and remedial action that has affected the release of import containers at their Port Botany operation.

We are aware that a level of relief was provided last night in line with the following notice:

"Carriers, Block 6 will be back operational from 2000hrs tonight (Thursday 18th Jan) until 0700hrs tomorrow (Friday 19th Jan). As the waterside crane is not operational , we are unable to marshal units in or out of block 6 therefore we can only service trucks manifested with ASC Block 6 containers. Please do not manifest trucks with containers from mixed locations, as we will have to non-service those trucks. Additional import slots will be made available in TAS. Please check and book necessary slots".

We understand that from 0700hrs today Block 6 is again out under maintenance until further notice. HPA Sydney will provide an update at midday informing of any changes – details will be posted at www.FTAlliance.com.au and via FTA TWITTER
