Further business disruption - unprotected industrial action

Further to the picket at VICT, Webb Dock East, Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received advice that industrial action will now take place at other terminals. At this stage it is unclear whether this has any correlation to the VICT protest.

Specifically, DP World Australia have advised that other terminals in Melbourne may face business disruption through unprotected industrial action from 0900hrs until 1400hrs.

"To ensure all external traffic on site is handled, we will unfortunately have to close our gates at 0800hrs and cancel all bookings from 0800hrs to 1400hrs. We apologise for any inconvenience and we will keep you updated on developments".
