Message from the Managing Director and CEO

Friday October 16

Current Issues.

Fremantle

The ANL Waratah came alongside this morning and commenced work with 3 cranes. The Box Emma will be berthing at 09:00 tomorrow morning and for a short period we will have both vessels alongside. The cranes will flow across to the Box Emma upon arrival while the lashing team will complete lashing on the Waratah... a great result for all!

Landside is busy whilst sharing resources with the ITV's. Turnaround Time was 23 mins on dayshift today and Container Turn Time was 14 mins.

Melbourne

Crane rates are improving as the yard density is coming down. We are maximising stack run outs to reduce the dwell time on IMPORT containers and increase slot availability through the VBS. Hopefully all transport companies can get their required slots. We are not yet back on track, but we are reducing the delays.

R&D has been busy today, but under control, with all zones fully booked. The average Truck Turnaround Time for the last 8 hours was 35 mins, while the average Container Turn Time was 19 mins.

Sydney

The ANL Bindaree and the SNL Colombo both sailed Sydney early, which was a great achievement by the team. In the meantime the ANL Elinga and the ANL Euroa did a full vessel swap with container transhipping both ways between vessels without a hitch...

The average Truck Turnaround Time for dayshift was 29 mins, while the average Container Turn Time was 17 mins.

Brisbane

With no vessel alongside, our Brisbane terminal is giving the cranes some well needed routine maintenance.  The Ever Urban is expected to berth tonight with the OOCL Oakland following on Sunday morning. We are expecting a busy schedule right through next week with some off window arrivals.

The road today was busy with an average Truck Turnaround Time for dayshift today of 41 mins, while the Container Turn Time was 22 mins.
