Description
The purpose of this Market Access Advice is to advise that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) has updated export health certification for table eggs and heat-treated egg products exported from Australia to New Caledonia. This change is effective from 5 November 2026.
Certificate changes
The department has been working with New Caledonia's Service d'inspection vétérinaire, alimentaire et phytosanitaire (SIVAP) to update export health certification requirements relating to high pathogenicity avian influenza (HPAI) and Newcastle Disease for table eggs and heat-treated egg products exported from Australia to New Caledonia.
The updated certificate includes revised HPAI and Newcastle Disease freedom period requirements, separation of HPAI and Newcastle disease attestations, and minor administrative and formatting amendments.
All table eggs and egg products exported from Australia to New Caledonia must use the Z930 certificate template. The certificate text has been amended in line with New Caledonia's updated veterinary import requirements for these products.
Exporters should review the updated certification requirements in the Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) to determine if they can meet the requirements before exporting product to New Caledonia.
Micor
The Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) will be updated to reflect this market access advice. The department encourages users of Micor to subscribe to the Micor update service for a commodity-specific email that lists changes that have been made the preceding week.
