DAFF - IIAN : 179-2026: AusTreat registration renewals now available through ProviderHub

Wednesday, October 21, 2026

21 October 2026

Who does this notice effect?

Pre-border biosecurity treatment providers currently registered under AusTreat.

What has changed?

The department has introduced ProviderHub, a new online platform for managing AusTreat registrations and renewals.

New treatment providers can use ProviderHub to submit registration applications at any time. Existing treatment providers will be invited by the department to renew their registration through ProviderHub when their renewal is due.

In 2027, a large number of treatment providers are expected to be due for renewal within a relatively short period ahead of the 2027–28 Brown marmorated stink bug risk season. To help manage this volume, minimise processing delays and reduce the risk of any lapse in registration that could affect supply chains, the department is commencing renewals on a staged basis. As a result, we will now begin inviting selected treatment providers to commence the renewal process earlier than they otherwise would.

The registration renewal process will be managed entirely through ProviderHub. Renewal applications submitted via email will no longer be accepted.

Treatment providers wishing to renew their registration who have not yet received an invitation may register their interest by emailing offshoretreatments@aff.gov.au.

Information on system access and a Help Card is now available on the AusTreat page.

How the renewal process works

When notified by the department that your AusTreat registration is due for renewal, log in to ProviderHub and select Start Renewal.

Information submitted as part of your previous registration will be pre-populated within the application where possible. While this reduces the amount of information that must be re-entered, treatment providers are responsible for reviewing all details and updating or removing any information that is no longer current.

Although existing information will be available within the application, the department requires updated supporting documentation for all applicable fields. This includes the submission of new photographs, certificates, and other supporting evidence where required. Photographs must be current, photographs submitted as part of previous applications cannot be reused and may result in delays to the assessment of your renewal application.

To complete the renewal process, applicants must review each section of the application and select Edit where available. The application will not progress until all required sections have been updated and all mandatory supporting documents have been uploaded.

How to prepare for your renewal

To support a smooth renewal process, treatment providers should prepare the following information and documentation in advance:

  • Current photographs of internal and external treatment facility set-ups.
  • Current photographs of treatment equipment, monitoring devices, and associated infrastructure.
  • Details of all technicians and operational staff, including qualifications and certifications where applicable.
  • Current calibration certificates for equipment and devices.
  • Evidence of the most recent fumigant purchase, where applicable.

As new photographs are required for renewal applications, treatment providers are encouraged to begin collecting this material while their current registration remains active.
