Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment.

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information.

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS).

All clients who will be required to make an online payment.

As of: 10:40 am Friday 09 October 2026 (AEDT).

Details:

The unplanned outage affecting the following systems has now been resolved, and users can now access these systems as normal:

  • Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS)
  • Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS)
  • Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS)
  • Online Payment Service (OPS)
  • Approved Arrangements (AA)
