Who does this notice affect?
First point of entry (FPOE) operators, aircraft operators, shipping agents, importers, brokers and others.
What has changed?
The biosecurity FPOE determination for Adelaide Airport has been varied - Biosecurity (First Point of Entry—Adelaide Airport) Determination 2019.
As a result, new biosecurity entry points (BEPs) for baggage have been added as follows:
- the terminal located at 10 Sir Richard Williams Avenue, Adelaide Airport.
- the terminal located at 21 James Schofield Drive, Adelaide Airport.
- the terminal located at 28 James Schofield Drive, Adelaide Airport.
Cobham Aviation Terminal has also been removed as a BEP for baggage.
Permission must be obtained from the department prior to any arrival at Adelaide Airport that is not permitted by the FPOE determination.
It is the obligation of the person in charge of an aircraft to ensure that the aircraft complies with the relevant FPOE determination. Operators and other stakeholders should consult relevant FPOE determinations to ensure that their proposed aircraft or goods movements are compliant with the current determinations.
