Who does this notice affect?

All users of the department's Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) who are attempting to view the Scientific Name appendix from within a BICON case.

Information

Start time: as of 17:00 Tuesday 22 September 2026 (AEST).

Details:

BICON is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption affecting the Scientific Name appendix information.

As a result, when users access some Scientific Name appendix from within a BICON case, the page may remain in a loading state and does not populate.

Action

This issue is under investigation, and the Department will advise once services have been restored.

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
