Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period (e.g. clients required to use the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS).

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned maintenance period.

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to infrastructure upgrades, the below applications will experience a scheduled outage from 23:00 to 23:59 Saturday 15 August 2026 (AEST). Clients will not be able to create new lodgements, applications or upload new documents/attachments.

• Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS)
• Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS)
• Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS)

Action

Clients are advised to complete and submit any in-progress lodgements and applications prior to the commencement of this planned maintenance period.

Clients are advised to await completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access these services.
