Purpose

This Market Access Advice (MAA) notifies industry that import hold and test requirements imposed by Singapore for live oysters harvested from the Port Douglas shellfish harvesting area, South Australia have been lifted.

• The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has lifted the temporary hold-and-test requirement for live oysters harvested from the Port Douglas Shellfish Harvesting Area, South Australia.
• Exporters should note that Singapore will continue to conduct random testing of imported live oyster consignments. If non-compliances are detected, hold-and-test requirements may be reintroduced.
• Exporters are encouraged to contact the department if they are notified of any non-compliant test results for live oyster consignments.
