FTA / APSA - OUT & ABOUT

SYDNEY : Paul Zalai caught up with Tim Cantlin to hear firsthand about the continued growth of the QuickQuote maritime insurance solution. With strong uptake across the perishables and freight forwarding sectors, attention is now turning to API integration with major software platforms, creating even greater efficiency for industry users.

We look forward to welcoming Tim and the QuickQuote team as exhibitors at the Australia & New Zealand Shipping & Logistics Conference in Sydney on 27-28 August 2026.

SYDNEY: Paul Zalai attended this week's official launch of Western Sydney International Airport, meeting with CEO Simon Hickey and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Catherine King (pictured below left).

Paul also had the opportunity to catch up with Alison Webster, the airport's Chief Customer and Commercial Officer (pictured below right) , ahead of next month's Australia & New Zealand Shipping & Logistics Conference who will deliver a keynote address on the opportunities and challenges shaping Australia's freight, logistics and supply chain future

MELBOURNE:  Sal Milici says it is always great catching up with valued Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) member John Mangiafico of International Cargo Express Pty Ltd. for a wide-ranging discussion on the issues impacting freight, logistics and international trade.

Discussions covered some of the key challenges facing industry, including extended ABF border holds and the operational impacts these can create across supply chains. We explored the importance of strong due diligence practices, particularly around the risks associated with piggybacking and ensuring businesses have robust compliance processes in place.

These member conversations are invaluable in helping shape FTA's advocacy priorities and ensuring we remain connected to the practical challenges being experienced across the supply chain.
