Who does this notice affect?

Licensed customs brokers, freight forwarders, importers and exporters engaged in trade between ASEAN Member States, Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and Republic of Korea

Call for submissions to the General Review of

Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) 

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received advice from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) that public consultation is now open for the General Reviews of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)  

These review processes are a standard feature of Australia's free trade agreements, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and continue to meet the evolving needs of Australian businesses.

DFAT is seeking member input on the operation, implementation, and impact of both agreements since their commencement, as well as feedback on potential opportunities to deepen liberalisation and expand market access.

Submissions are open until 16 October 2026.
