Qantas Freight - Sydney Freight Terminal delays - Update 3
Friday, July 3, 2026
FTA/APSA continues to receive reports from members of significant delays associated with Qantas Freight operations, particularly in relation to import freight movements through Sydney.
While Qantas Freight has advised that it is working through operational challenges and recovery measures, member feedback received this week indicates that delays remain a significant concern for many businesses. Reports continue to be received of shipments experiencing extended delays, limited visibility on freight status and difficulties obtaining timely operational updates.
FTA/APSA has continued to raise these concerns directly with Qantas Freight executive management and is providing ongoing feedback on the impacts being experienced across the supply chain.

The issue has also attracted broader attention beyond the freight sector. FTA/APSA recently participated in an interview on 2GB Radio, highlighting the continuing operational impacts being reported by industry and the need for a sustained focus on recovery and service reliability.
