DP WORLD - PORT BOTANY Protected Industrial Action (Certis Security) Update 2: Monday 18 May & Tuesday 19 May 2026

Further to our previous member notice advising of operational impacts at DP World Port Botany due to MUA protected industrial action (PIA) with Certis Security planned for Friday 15 May, Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have now received advise from DP World that further action is planned for Monday 18 May & Tuesday 19 May:

Certis Port Botany - Notice of Protected Action extended 18/5 & 19/5
Issue: Dear Customers and Transport Partners
Short Description: This is to advise that the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) is taking further protected industrial action against Certis Security on Monday, 18 May 2026 between 0700 and 1800, and Tuesday, 19 May 2026 between 0700 and 1800.
While this industrial action is not directed at DP World, our Port Botany terminal will be impacted.
As part of the notified industrial action, a delay on allowing truck drivers to enter or exit the DP World Port Botany terminal for periods of five (5) minutes from the time a driver arrives at the gatehouse will be applied during the following times:
     • 0700–0800
     • 0900–1000
     • 1100–1200
     • 1300–1400
     • 1500–1600
     • 1700–1800

NB: normal operations will be in effect outside the times listed above
Issue Impact: DP World will work to minimise disruption as much as possible through operational scheduling and coordination of truck movements across the day.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while this protected industrial action is taking place.
