Wednesday, May 13, 2026

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) advise members of protected industrial action (PIA) that will impact operations at DP World's Port Botany terminal.
DP World has advised that the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) is taking protected industrial action against Certis Security, which is expected to impact operations at the Port Botany terminal. While the industrial action is not directed at DP World, operational impacts are anticipated during the notified period.

NOTICE OF PIA - CERTIS PORT BOTANY

This is to advise that the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) is taking protected industrial action against Certis Security on Friday, 15 May 2026 between 0700 and 1800.
While this industrial action is not directed at DP World, our Port Botany terminal will be impacted.
As part of the notified industrial action, a delay on allowing truck drivers to enter or exit the DP World Port Botany terminal for periods of five (5) minutes from the time a driver arrives at the gatehouse will be applied during the following times:
          •    0700–0800
          •    0900–1000
          •    1100–1200
          •    1300–1400
          •    1500–1600
          •    1700–1800
NB:  normal operations will be in effect outside the times listed above
DP World will work to minimise disruption as much as possible through operational scheduling and coordination of truck movements across the day.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while this protected industrial action is taking place.
Further updates will be provided if operational conditions change.
Regards,
DP World - Port Botany Terminal
