Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who will be required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal.

Approved arrangements operators who will be required to view and/or update details of their Approved Arrangement via the Approve Arrangement Management Product (AAMP).

Approved arrangement operators attempting to access online reports of entries referred to the department for biosecurity assessment, or management under a class 19 Approved Arrangement, via the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST).

Approved arrangements operators who will be required to view electronic government certificates (eCertificates) and relevant attachments online via external verification for eCertificates (EVE) as part of document assessment for imported goods.

All clients required to use the department's Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON).

All users of the ProviderHub.

Class 14.4 approved arrangement operators attempting to access/report rural tailgate inspection outcomes.

Information

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, there will be a scheduled service disruption to the following systems and services from 23:00 Wednesday 22 April to 03:00 Thursday 23 April 2026 (AEST):

  • BICON
  • Biosecurity Portal, including the following linked systems and services:
    • Inspection services
    • AAMP
    • Approved Arrangement Class 14.4 outcomes
    • BCST (Industry Reporting)
    • EVE
    • ProviderHub

Users accessing these systems may experience brief outages and/or intermittent service degradation (e.g. slowness and/or an inability to load pages) during the maintenance window.

Action

BICON users are advised to complete and submit any in-progress import permit applications prior to the commencement of this planned outage period.

For all other system users, no action required.
