Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy consultation update

Dear stakeholder,

We recently sought feedback on the proposed changes to the Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy (PBLIS) Mandatory Standards, including new Performance Benchmarks, and would like to thank those who participated in Round One consultation.

A further round of consultation on the proposed PBLIS regulatory change details was intended to start early this year. Due to the global fuel supply disruption and associated impacts on industry, Transport for NSW is deferring Round Two consultation for the foreseeable future. It is expected this postponement could be up to 12 months. The existing PBLIS framework will remain in place during this period.

Transport for NSW will continue to review feedback received through Round One consultation to inform and prepare updates for future Round Two consultation.

Transport for NSW is currently focused on keeping essential goods moving and supporting communities by easing pressure on supply chains. We acknowledge the contribution of the freight industry during this disruption and appreciate your patience and understanding as we manage this evolving situation.

We do expect to be able to publish submissions from Round One consultation on the Ports and Maritime Administration Act and Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy website in the near future.

Further information will be made available on the Ports and Maritime Administration Act and Port Botany Landside Improvement Strategy website as it becomes available.

If you have any questions, please email freight@transport.nsw.gov.au.
