U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has recently updated the Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS) Implementation Guide. This update reinforces CBP's requirements for complete and accurate cargo data to be provided prior to loading for all air cargo shipments destined for the United States.
Shippers and agents are reminded that non-compliant, incomplete or inaccurate data submissions may result in shipments being identified by CBP upon arrival in the U.S. This can result in shipment delays and regulatory action, including penalties.
Prior to shipping to the United States, customers are responsible for ensuring ACAS data is compliant and should review the ACAS Implementation Guide to ensure requirements are met.
