DP World Fremantle Terminal will soon announce an implementation date (in the coming weeks) for a change to the OneStop Optibook functionality for its terminal operating system and Vehicle Booking System (VBS) interface.
This is the last DP World terminal in Australia to transition to the Optibook functionality, with the DP World terminals in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane all now "live" on the platform, albeit with different implementation parameters based on local conditions and, in the case of Sydney, some regulatory issues.
OneStop will be hosting a free Familiarisation Workshop in Fremantle on Wednesday, 11 March 2026:
Event Details:
Date: Wednesday, 11 March 2026
Time: 12:30 PM to 2PM
Venue: Royal Fremantle Golf Club, 359 High Street, Fremantle
(Please note that the Royal Fremantle Golf Club has a smart casual dress code. Please avoid cargo pants, high-vis gear, T-shirts, thongs, or steel cap boots.)
We understand that there will be a light lunch and refreshments prior to the Workshop commencing.
Why Should You Attend?
CTAA would encourage all Port of Fremantle container transport operators and other interested stakeholders to send operational representatives so that you have a "heads up" on the changes being implemented.
In general terms, the OneStop Optibook functionality is designed to deliver:
An enhanced visibility of container status
A more intuitive user interface
An enhanced Container List view showing key container information such as:
The fundamental change is that Optibook implements a container-centric workflow with slots attached to available containers, rather than the current VBS workflow of matching booked VBS slots to containers.
As mentioned however, the Terminal can choose the parameters and aspects of the OneStop Optibook functionality to be implemented. For instance, CTAA understands that tagged / stack runs will be maintained at DP World in Fremantle.
This is why it is particularly important for container transport operators to attend the Familiarisation Workshop next week to gain a greater understanding of how the change to the VBS terminal interface functionality will be implemented specifically at DP World Fremantle Terminal.
