FTA / APSA - OUT & ABOUT

Great to catch up over coffee with Mark Christmas from Queensland Magnesia (QMAG)

Tom Jensen says it is always good to have proper, face-to-face conversations with industry — especially with QMAG as a member of the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA). We had a valuable discussion on current supply chain pressures, port and landside costs, and the real operational impacts being felt by exporters and importers. Thank you Mark for QMAG's continued contribution to, and support of, APSA's advocacy work.

Container Logistics Operations Forum in Melbourne

Sal Milici recently addressed some 120  delegates at the Container Logistics Operations Forum in Melbourne , jointly hosted by Container Transport Alliance Australia (CTAA) and Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA). The forum provided a valuable opportunity for practical feedback and open discussion. It was particularly encouraging to see so many FTA members in attendance, contributing to the discussion and gaining deeper insight into the local landside challenges affecting container logistics in Victoria.

All things Training

A good opportunity last week for John Park and Amanda Bradfield  to catch up with Ian Ryan from the Logistics Skills Council to provide input into the 2026 WA Jobs, Education and Training (WAJET) occupation advice report - Ian is passionate about assisting our industry with our skills shortages -  thank you for the opportunity..
