12 February 2026
Who does this notice affect?
Pre-border biosecurity treatment providers applying for registration under AusTreat.
What has changed?
We are introducing a new, more convenient way to register as a pre-border biosecurity treatment Provider under AusTreat. We are replacing our existing paper-based registrations forms with ProviderHub.
What is Providerhub?
ProviderHub is a new registration platform, which will deliver an online capability for the department and treatment providers to manage registration information.
The delivery of the online registration solution is replacing the existing paper based process and is expected to make registration easier for industry and Government.
What does Providerhub mean for me?
ProviderHub will replace the existing processes, providing faster processing and an improved user experience.
Information on system access and user guides will be available on the AusTreat page from March 2026.
In preparation for the launch of the ProviderHub, application forms for the below treatments are being removed from the AusTreat page:
- Methyl Bromide
- Sulfuryl flouride
- Ethyl formate
- Heat treatment
If you are considering starting a new registration application for these treatments under AusTreat, please wait until the ProviderHub is released in March. However, we will continue to accept any in-progress paper based registrations for these treatments up to 20 February.
AusTreat registrations for Controlled Atmosphere will continue to use the existing process.
When will I be able to start using Providerhub?
ProviderHub is planned for delivery in March 2026.
