Information

Restored time:
As of: 19:30 Tuesday 03 February 2026 (AEDT).

Detail:
Between 09:34 and 13:57 Tuesday 03 February 2026 (AED), the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) – EDI messaging service – was experiencing an unplanned service disruption. This resulted in messaging delays between DoHA systems, including the Australian Border Force (ABF) Integrated Cargo System (ICS), and DAFF systems, which were being queued as a result of the service disruption.

Though a fix to EDI messaging was successfully applied by the ABF at approximately 13:57 Tuesday 03 February 2026 (AEDT), messages were still being queued between DoHA/ABF and DAFF systems.

This unplanned service disruption has since been fully resolved as of 19:30 Tuesday 03 February 2026 (AEDT), and the backlog of messages queued between DoHA systems and DAFF systems is currently being transmitted.

Please note: Due to the backlog of queued messages, clients anticipating responses from the department in relation to the above-listed import declaration types may still experience some further delays in receiving these responses.

Action

No action required. The backlog of messages queued as a result of the unplanned service disruption are currently being processed. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
