Information

Start time:
As of: 09:34 Tuesday 03 February 2026 (AEDT).

Update:
This issue is still under urgent investigation by the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA), Australian Border Force (ABF) and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF). As a result, delays to messaging between the DoHA and ABF systems (e.g. Integrated Cargo System (ICS)), and DAFF systems, are still ongoing.

Current status:
Between 09:34 and 13:57 Tuesday 03 February 2026 (AED), the DoHA – EDI messaging service – was experiencing an unplanned service disruption. Though a fix to EDI messaging was successfully applied by ABF, messages are still being queued between DoHA/ABF and DAFF systems.

Clients anticipating responses from DAFF in relation to the above declaration types may still experience delays in receiving these responses, which are currently being queued as a result of this unplanned service disruption.

It is anticipated that messages affected by this unplanned service disruption will recommence transmission once services have been restored.

Action

This issue is under urgent investigation by DoHA, ABF and DAFF. The department (DAFF) will advise once services have been restored.
