| Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has been advised by members that the Australian Border Force (ABF) Cargo Support 1300 number experienced connection issues earlier today, which now appear to be resolved. If you are calling the number, and are still having issues, ABF advises that you remain on the line for at least 8 seconds, as a brief system delay may affect the start of the automated prompts. If you are still experiencing issues with connection, please let us know so we can follow up. Please note that higher-than-normal call volumes are currently being experienced, which may result in delays. FTA also continues to receive reports of delays at Cargo Examination Facilities (CEF), particularly in NSW, due to a significant increase in container volumes. ABF is working to restore normal processing timeframes as soon as possible.
