DAFF - Biosecurity Portal Issues

Thursday, October 16, 2025

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) wish to inform members of the release of Import Industry Advice Notice (IIAN) 348-2025, advising of an unplanned service disruption to the Biosecurity Portal.

Information

Start time:

As of: 12:00pm Thursday 16 October 2025 (AEST).

Detail:

The Biosecurity Portal is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, users are unable to lodge inspection booking requests via the Biosecurity Portal. This disruption is impacting users of both login pathways of the Biosecurity Portal, including the 'Sign in with your email address to access' ('Other User') pathway, and the 'Sign in with your Digital ID' (myID) pathway.

Note: There is no impact to users of the following systems, which can be accessed via the Biosecurity Portal as normal:

  • Approved Arrangement Management Product (AAMP)
  • Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST)
  • External verification for eCertificates (EVE)
Action

For clients of the Biosecurity Portal requiring URGENT inspection booking requests, please:

  • Please contact the department by phone on 1800 900 090.

For clients of the Biosecurity Portal who do not require urgent inspection booking requests:

  • Please await restoration of services before attempting to access these services.

This issue is being investigated by the department as a high priority.

The department will advise once this issue has been resolved, and services have been restored. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
