Who does this notice affect?
All clients required to use the department's Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) website to submit and/or pay for import permit applications.

Start time: As of 00:00 Thursday 14 August 2025 (AEST).
The BICON website is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption to financial functions. As a result, users may experience errors/failures when attempting to submit and/or make payments for import permit applications via BICON.
Action
Clients are advised to avoid attempting to submit/payment for import permit applications via BICON until this issue has been resolved.
This issue is under urgent investigation and the department will advise once services have been restored. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
