Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department's Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) website to submit and/or pay for import permit applications.

Start time: As of: 17:37 Tuesday 05 August 2025 (AEST).

The BICON website is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption to financial functions. As a result, users may experience errors when attempting to submit and/or make payments for import permit applications.

Action

Clients that experience issues when attempting to submit and make payments are advised to re-attempt later.

This issue is under urgent investigation and will advise once services have been restored. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
