Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) has received advice from the release of Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) in relation to upcoming AusTreat information sessions: Brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) risk season 2025-2026
DAFF are hosting annual information sessions for pre-border treatment providers and related industry ahead of the 2025-2026 BMSB risk season.
The sessions will cover the following topics:
- Methyl Bromide Fumigation Methodology v3.0
- AusTreat registration requirements and approved treatments for BMSB
- DAFF's compliance verification activities for 2025-26 & observations from 2024-25 risk season
- Treatment certificate lodgement portal updates, including tips for best practice.
There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions at the end of each session.
