Impacts to agricultural exporters

Attention

  • All agricultural exporters who require clearance from the Australian Border Force's (ABF) Integrated Cargo System (ICS). 
  • Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry staff

Purpose
To notify agricultural exporters and freight forwarders:

  • of a planned ICS outage
  • what to do to avoid disruption to exports.

Key points

  • The ABF has advised that the ICS will be unavailable between
    11pm Saturday 19 July and 4am Sunday 20 July 2025 (AEST).
     
  • In the unlikely event that rollback is required, the outage may extend to 5am Sunday 20 July 2025 (AEST).
     
  • The outage will affect the whole of the ICS, including 
    EXDOC and NEXDOC Single Electronic Window (SEW) services.
     
  • During the outage, SEW EDN request and update messages will queue. The ICS will process EDN messages after the outage.
     
  • Exporters will not be able to obtain EDNs by logging in to the ICS directly.
     

What to do to avoid disruption to your exports

If you have exports scheduled to depart late Saturday or early Sunday, please obtain clear EDNs before 11pm Saturday 19 July (AEST).
