  • Exporters who use EXDOC to obtain export permits or government certification for their agricultural products
  • Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) - Central and Regional offices

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) advises Export Documentation (EXDOC) users of planned systems maintenance on 10-11 May 2025 that may cause intermittent EXDOC outages.

Outage details

  • The department has planned systems maintenance from 00:00 Saturday 10 May to 23:59 Sunday 11 May 2025 (AEST).
  • EXDOC may be unavailable intermittently during the following periods:
    • 00:00 to 08:00 (AEST) on Saturday 10 May 2025
    • 16:00 to 23:59 (AEST) on Sunday 11 May 2025 (AEST).
  • Outages should range from 3 to 15 minutes but could extend up to an hour.

Impacts

  • The maintenance work will not affect your software.
  • Messaging sent to EXDOC while it is unavailable will queue. EXDOC will process all queued messaging on resumption.

What you can do

Please note the expected system outage timings.

Where possible, ensure that you have all certificates, permits, and clear export declarations for time-sensitive exports prior to the outage windows. Otherwise, please allow extra time to manage your export documentation.
