2025-2026 FTA ONLINE CPD & CBC TRAINING PACKAGES

FTA offers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) training online for the customs broker licencing period 1 April to 31 March each year. The cost of an online training package is $150 (excl. gst) for member organisations with bulk discounts available on a sliding scale. New content is now ready for your completion.

Licensed customs brokers not employed by a corporate FTA member, can purchase an Individual Membership which includes online CPD & CBC training for the cost of only $300 (excl. gst) per customs broker licensing period.

Caroline Zalai, FTA Director and John Park, Head of Business Operations  - FTA | APSA and Secretary of the Biosecurity Treatment Providers Reference Group (BTPRG) co-hosted the Section 77G and Approved Arrangement forum in Sydney at the St George Motor Boat Club. Westport approval signals next phase

 

A TICK of approval from Infrastructure WA for Westport's business case says building the new container port south of Perth as quickly as possible could save the state $244 billion over the coming decades.

In approving the business case IWA endorsed the port plan to move to the next stage which involves the start of definition works and reference designs ahead of a final investment decision and construction. READ MORE (credit DCN)

The Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) is the designated peak shipper body granted status by the Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport under Part X of the Consumer & Competition Act to represent the interests of Australian shippers generally in relation to liner cargo shipping services. NSW Ports - Port Botany quayline equalisation

NSW PORTS is in the planning stages for a Quayline Equalisation Project at Port Botany, which would provide equivalent quayline length for each container stevedore company operating at the port.

DP World  Port Botany - Stop Work

DP World have advised that there will be an authorised stop work meeting at their Sydney Terminal on Thursday 1st May 2025 from 1000hrs until 1400 hrs. All Terminal Operations will cease during this period.

0600, 0700 & 0800 Slots will be released. Gates will close 0900 Sharp to allow DPW to clear the yard. Re-Open at 1400 hrs.

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received a notice to industry from Qantas Freight regarding changes as a result of construction work at the Melbourne International Terminal.

 

Planned construction work will be taking place at our Melbourne International Terminal from 28 April 2025 until late June 2025 which will impact truck parking facilities and other terminal operational areas.  READ MORE
