DAFF - IIAN 100/2025 Unplanned Service Disruption: Tuesday 01 April 2025 – Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST)

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have received the following notice from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) via import industry advice notice 100-2025 regarding an unplanned service disruption affecting the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST) whereby reports generated from 08:49 AEDT, Sunday 30 March 2025, onwards may not include the latest biosecurity directions. 

Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangement operators attempting to access online reports of entries referred to the department for biosecurity assessment, or management under a class 19 Approved Arrangement, via the Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST).

The Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST) is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, BCST users obtaining reports from this system may receive data which is only current up to approximately 08:49 Sunday 30 March 2025 (AEDT).

Any reports obtained from BCST from approximately 08:49 Sunday 30 March 2025 (AEDT) onwards may be missing details from biosecurity directions that have been issued after the start time of this unplanned service disruption.

Action

No action required. The department will advise once services have been restored.
The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
