Possible WHS issues with SF containers treated by TR4021SB - UPDATE
Friday, March 21, 2025
Further to our earlier Member Notice , the department has now published I
AN83-2025
on their website listing affected containers they have been able to identify at this stage and possible actions.
Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) has received advice from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry as below - please ensure all who may be impacted are aware of this notice.
The department has identified potential concerns with the gas clearance process employed by Yukselis Liman Hizmetleri ve Ilaclama Ambalaj San. TIC. LTD. STI. (AEI: TR4021SB) on containers treated with sulfuryl flouride. The department is currently working on pulling together a list of potentially affected containers and will publish as part of an IAN next week, however in the meantime I would appreciate if you can encourage your members to take appropriate steps to manage any WHS risks when interacting with containers treated by TR4021SB.
