DAFF - IIAN 75/2025 Unplanned Service Disruption - Biosecurity Portal, AAMP, BCST, EVE

Friday, March 14, 2025

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) wish to inform members of an unplanned service disruption affecting key biosecurity systems, as outlined in Industry Information Advice Notice (IIAN) 75-2025 issued today, Friday 14 March 2025.

The Biosecurity Portal is currently experiencing technical issues, preventing users from accessing essential services, including:
  • Approved Arrangement Management Product (AAMP) – used by operators to manage and update their arrangements.
  • Biosecurity Cargo Status Tracker (BCST) – used to track cargo entries under biosecurity assessment.
  • External Verification for eCertificates (EVE) – used to access electronic government certificates and attachments for document assessments.
For full details, please refer to Industry Information Advice Notice (IIAN) 75-2025 available HERE.

Impact
Operators, customs brokers, importers, freight forwarders, and manned depots may be unable to book or manage biosecurity inspections via the Biosecurity Portal. Additionally, inspection booking systems may not be receiving new requests.

Action Required
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is treating this as a priority and will provide updates once the issue is resolved.
  • For urgent booking requests or amendments, contact the department on 1800 900 090.
  • For non-urgent requests, DAFF has requested to please await service restoration before submitting inspection requests.
Further updates will be available via our website
