Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA), following a previous member notice regarding the Methyl Bromide Fumigation Methodology v3.0, wish to advise that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (DAFF) has released import industry advice notice 71/2025 announcing stakeholder information sessions to assist with the upcoming implementation of the updated methodology, which comes into force on 1 May 2025.
These sessions are specifically designed for treatment providers, industry partners, and stakeholders outside Australia involved in fumigation practices for consignments destined for Australia.
DAFF will host virtual Microsoft Teams Live information sessions to accommodate an international audience, covering key changes to Methyl Bromide Fumigation Methodology v3.0, with time allocated for participant questions.
