National Biosecurity Strategy Action Plan

Members are invited to share your ideas and knowledge to inform the development of actions for a National Biosecurity Strategy Action Plan.

The National Biosecurity Strategy (the Strategy) aims to improve our biosecurity system over the next 10 years. Implementation of the Strategy is a collaborative and inclusive process, and your contribution is critical to develop effective actions for the implementation of the Strategy.
 
We are seeking your input on actions for the following National Biosecurity Strategy priority areas:

• Priority Area 1: Shared biosecurity culture
• Priority Area 2: Stronger partnerships

These priority areas are foundational for implementation of the Strategy and are the focus of this survey. Your views will help us shape tangible and impactful actions for the National Action Plan.

The survey is being conducted by the National Biosecurity Strategy Implementation Working Group.

Working Group members are drawn from multiple biosecurity sectors including industry, research organisations, representative bodies, state and territory governments and the Australian Government.

The survey is hosted on the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry webpage and is estimated to take 20 minutes to complete.

We will be seeking input on actions for the remaining 4 priority areas soon. These priority areas are:

• Priority Areas 3: Highly skilled workforce
• Priority Areas 4: Sustainable investment
• Priority Areas 5: Coordinated preparedness and response
• Priority Areas 6: Integration supported by technology, research and data
