National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is an independent Commonwealth agency responsible for investigating corrupt conduct in the public sector.
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) has brought to the attention of Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) that the reach of NACC extends to include industry stakeholders.
The department have today released Export Industry Advice Notice 2023-44 that specifically refers to the implications for exporters.
FTA/APSA and legal counsel will be meeting with departmental executives on Thursday 27 July 2023 to understand the potential implications for importers, exporters, freight forwarders, customs brokers and Approved Arrangements
