Public consultation extended on the 2023 update of the ASEL

Purpose

To advise all stakeholders that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has extended the public consultation on the 2023 update of the Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock (2023 ASEL update).

Key points

• Further to EAN 2023/07, at the request of several stakeholders, the department has extended the public consultation on the 2023 ASEL update by two weeks.
• Consultation will now conclude at 5:00pm AEST on Friday, 4 August 2023.
• To provide feedback on the matters under consideration in the 2023 ASEL update, please visit Have Your Say.
• All feedback received through public consultation will be considered in finalising the updated ASEL (Version 3.3), which the department plans to publish and implement in November 2023.
