ESCS was established as a temporary initiative to assist stakeholders in navigating supply chain issues while connectivity to markets was volatile and capacity diminished and expensive.
With supply chains stabilising and exporters adjusting to the "new normal", ESCS will close as planned on 30 June 2023.
As attention turns towards building long-term system resilience, and with supply chains a priority across state and federal agencies, industry has multiple avenues through which to engage with government.
This includes the Simplified Trade System Implementation Taskforce – see below for more information about their upcoming Summit.
