AttentionPurposeThis export advisory notice (EAN) is to remind industry that prices for live animal export certification services will increase on 1 July 2022. Key points- Fees and charges are increasing on 1 July 2022 as described in the 2021-22 Live Animal Export Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (LAE CRIS) and relevant legislative instrument.
- Updated charging guidelines will be available on the department's website from 1 July 2022.
- The department plans to release a 2022-23 LAE CRIS for public submissions in the coming weeks, following engagement with the Live Animal Export Finance Industry Consultative Committee.
- The 2022-23 CRIS will describe implementation of the LAE cost recovered arrangement including increases to fees and charges from 1 July 2022 described in the 2021-2022 CRIS.
- A further EAN will be issued when the 2022-23 LAE CRIS is released for public consultation. Industry will be invited to review the CRIS and make submissions over a 6-week consultation period.

Background Regulatory fees and charges for agriculture exports sector increases in 2021-22 after several years of under recovery. The CRIS committed to returning full cost recovery by 2023-24 with annual stepped increases that enable reforms to be rolled out while maintaining existing systems. - A stepped return to full cost reover will ease the impact for agriculture and food exporters.
- Following annual price increases in 2022-23 and 2023-24, programs are expected to return to full cost recovery in 2023-24.
