VICT - Industry Notice Notice 09/05/2022 Dear Transport Customers,
The midnight slot drop timing has become a pain point for many transport companies and VICT acknowledge that it's timing (part of the 1-Stop slot drop product), is not ideal.
I am pleased to announce that from Friday 13th May, VICT will move it's Drop Off 'Slot drop' from midnight to 11:00am each morning (including weekends).
No Drop Off Slots will be released on Thursday night.
The Friday 11:00 slot drop will include slots for both Sunday and Monday as usual.
Sunday's 11:00 drop will release for Tuesday and Monday's drop will release for Wednesday and so on…
We still expect competition for slots with each release, but we are hopeful that the later timing will see carriers less likely to hoard slots owing to greater visibility of their own customers bookings at that time.
Note that there will be no change to the release of Import Pick Up Slots.
We continue to listen to our customers and to make changes where possible to improve our offering to Transport.
We will review these arrangements again after a few weeks and welcome feedback from transport on this change over the same period.
