Webinar: OSRA Briefing & CBER Discussion

Friday, January 14, 2022

Paul Zalai (Director FTA/ Secretariat APSA)  last night joined fellow board members of the Global Shippers Forum (GSF) addressing a wide range of international trade matters.

As a part of this process, permission was obtained for members to join a  free webinar briefing  on two key topical issues, taking place on Thursday 20 January 2022 at 14:00 GMT (Friday 21 January 2022 at 01:00 AEDT).

You will be aware of the recent progress made by a new Ocean Shipping Reform Bill in the USA that seeks to address many shippers' concerns regarding container shipping services to and from US ports. I am pleased to announce that Ms Karyn Booth, Partner and Chair of Transportation Practice at Thompson Hine LLP, and lead Counsel to the National Industrial Transportation League will be presenting an update to GSF members and other EU trade bodies on the prospects for its adoption by the US Senate, and on aspects that may be relevant to the EU's Consortia Block Exemption Regulation (CBER).

This will be followed by a discussion about the prospects for a review of the Consortia Block Exemption Regulation (CBER) by the European Commission during 2022, presented by GSF and allied EU trade organisations.

A recording will be made available to FTA/APSA members as well as an option to join the live and interactive session using the meeting link below:
