| | CEO WELCOME ________________ Welcome to this month's edition of Port of Brisbane News. It has been another busy month at the Port as we draw closer to the year's end.
Property development within our Port West Industrial estate continues at pace, with the expansion of Autocare's facility underway and the new Wallace International warehouse development approaching completion.
We are delighted to continue our work with our 2021/22 Employee Charity partner, Foodbank Queensland. Last month, I joined a team of 18 PBPL employees, including most of our Executive Leadership Team, in packing food hampers to be distributed to those in need in our community.
Finally, on behalf of the PBPL team, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support and wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas, and a safe and relaxing holiday period.

| | PARTNERING TO IMPROVE EARLY DETECTION OF MARINE PEST THREATS GROUND ________________ Last month, PBPL jointly with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Gladstone Ports Corporation, North Queensland Bulk Ports, Port of Townsville and Ports North, received the Industry Award for the Queensland Seaports eDNA Surveillance (Q-SEAS) program at this year's Australian Biosecurity Awards.
The program was developed and implemented in 2019 by Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries together with the Queensland Ports Association and its five member ports.
Q-SEAS provides ports with an early warning surveillance and detection tool to identify and manage marine pests. Importantly, it reduces the potential for the introduction and spread of marine pests into Queensland, helping to protect our environment.
This is great national recognition and another example of how we're working with our partners across industry and government to deliver the best possible environmental outcomes here at the Port. |

PBPL is proud to support Foodbank Queensland as our 2021/22 Employee Charity, and the work they do to fight hunger and food insecurity in our community.
In other community news, PBPL was delighted to get behind the PA Research Foundation's Smiddy Fun Run which raises funds for skin cancer research. In total, the PA Research Foundation raised more than $20,000 from the generous support of sponsors and participants. |
