Compliance costs of "nuisance" tariffs

Thursday, November 25, 2021

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has been advised  the Productivity Commission recently commenced research into the costs and benefits of 'nuisance' tariffs.

If you are an importer, a manufacturer who has appealed a Tariff Concession Order, or a customs broker, we would greatly appreciate if you would answer some questions (link here), by 1 December.

This is to provide evidence on tariff-related compliance costs that Australian businesses have incurred.

In addition, please forward this email to all importers, manufacturers and customs brokers that you know.

We are also accepting submissions and brief comments, due 1 December.

See our website for more information (link here).
