COVID-19 update 13 November 2021: Changes to the maritime border come into effect at 11.59pm on Saturday 13 November 2021. This reduces the length of isolation period required from 14 days to 10. Auckland and parts of the Waikato are at Alert Level 3 Step 2, Upper Northland is at Alert Level 2. The rest of New Zealand is at Alert Level 2. All non-New Zealand citizens must be fully vaccinated before travelling to New Zealand by air and all travellers to New Zealand (except those from Antarctica and most Pacific Islands) must have a COVID-19 test taken and a negative test result returned within 72 hours of their first scheduled international flight.
