Qube Ports and the Maritime Union of Australia at Fremantle have agreed to enter into a conciliation process. While these negotiations are under way will resume normal services and operations in Fremantle, continuing our longstanding relationship with Qube Ports which provides stevedoring services for Wallenius Wilhelmsen across Australia.
"We are committed to minimising disruption to our customers' supply chains while ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner and are hopeful that the industrial dispute will be satisfactorily resolved. We believe that were industrial actions to continue, these would be disruptive to trade into the Port of Fremantle and the people and businesses in Australia who depend on the cargo that our vessels are carrying", says Kim Buoy, SVP Logistic Services, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Oceania.
